Liverpool Nach Sieg Gegen Bournemouth An Der Spitze

Liverpool are top of the Premier League after victory over Bournemouth

The Reds extended their unbeaten start to the season to seven games with a 2-1 win at Bournemouth on Saturday.

Liverpool took the lead in the 15th minute through Sadio Mane, who finished off a clever pass from Mohamed Salah. Bournemouth equalised in the 68th minute through an own goal from Dejan Lovren. However, Liverpool regained the lead in the 84th minute through substitute Xherdan Shaqiri.

The win sees Liverpool move to the top of the Premier League table, two points ahead of Manchester City. Bournemouth remain in 16th place.

Liverpool's win was their seventh in a row in all competitions.

They have not lost a game since the opening day of the season, when they were beaten 4-0 by Manchester United.

Liverpool's manager, Jurgen Klopp, was delighted with his team's performance.

"I'm very happy with the result, but also with the performance," he said. "We were the better team and deserved to win.

"We had some difficult moments in the second half, but we showed great character to come back and win the game."

Bournemouth's manager, Eddie Howe, was disappointed with the result, but praised his team's effort.

"I'm disappointed with the result, but I'm proud of the performance," he said. "We worked hard and made it difficult for Liverpool.

"We had a few chances to equalise, but we didn't take them. We need to learn from this and come back stronger next game."
